There’s reason to hit the parking lot early for Wednesday’s bill of Bob Weir & Rob Wasserman, Michelle Shocked and Bruce Cockburn at Pine Knob. Besides exceptional music, Shocked and her husband, accordionist Bart Bull, have taken to strolling the parking lot before the show, playing songs for Weir’s Deadhead fans. She’ll take a fiddle and a guitar and play music with them,” says Shocked’s spokesman, Michael Saltzman. “All these people are just hanging out in the parking lot, doing tie-dye and other stuff, so she just goes out for an impromptu jam. It’s a fun thing.” It also helps ease the sting of the $5 parking fee.
